Currently wrapping up design, BG+co is providing full design services and contract administration for a mixed-use building at 609 24RD, featuring three commercial tenant spaces on the ground floor and a custom high-end, modern industrial single-family residence on the second floor. This project stands prominently on the 24 Road corridor, offering both functional commercial spaces and luxurious residential living
The residential space boasts dramatic architectural features, including exposed steel structure, nearly 20-foot-tall ceilings in the main living areas, and large terraces that create seamless indoor-outdoor living experiences. The residence also includes a greenhouse, a rooftop observation deck, and modern amenities such as a sauna-equipped master bath, a butler’s pantry, and an elevator. The striking circular stair to the loft, ship’s ladder to the roof, and master closet skyroof add further unique design elements.
The building’s exterior showcases a combination of brick veneer, large-format porcelain panels, and metal panel shingles, accented by black aluminum-framed windows and exposed steel and aluminum trellises. Inside, the residence features exposed heated concrete floors, wood ceilings, and exposed structural painted steel beams and columns, all contributing to the clean, modern industrial aesthetic. A stunning 16-foot linear indoor/outdoor fireplace serves as a focal point in the master bedroom.
The project aims to create a beautifully designed high-end home while generating income through the commercial spaces on the ground floor. The building harmonizes with its surroundings in the highly desirable 24 Road corridor while maintaining a bold, unique presence that reflects BG+co’s design excellence.
